Who makes Zit, the warranty disclaimer, trademarks and logos used on this site, and how measurements and comparisons should be read.
Who makes Zit
Zit is open-source software developed and sponsored by Autohand AI. Autohand AI also makes Autohand Code, one of the agents these pages describe.
No warranty
Zit is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, as set out in sections 11 and 12 of its license. Zit runs the commands you declare in zit.toml and the agents you start, with your privileges; read Checks and Limits before accepting changes you did not write. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
Trademarks and logos
Product names and logos on this site belong to their owners and are used only to identify the tools Zit works with or is compared to. Their use does not mean that any of these owners endorses Zit or is affiliated with it, except Autohand AI, which sponsors it.
- Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC.
- OpenAI and Codex are trademarks of OpenAI.
- Git is a trademark of the Software Freedom Conservancy.
- Pi, Zed, Delta, Entire, GitHub, GitLab, Graphite, Conductor and Cursor are the names of their owners’ products.
The marks on the home page come from: Autohand AI (Autohand Code); Simple Icons 16.34, released under CC0 (Claude and OpenAI); and pi.dev (Pi).
Measurements and comparisons
Every number on this site was measured as described on Benchmarks and Lessons, mostly on one machine and in one or two runs; your repositories and machines will differ. Compared reads each tool from its own documentation on the dates given there. Those tools change, so a cell can go out of date after the date it was read.
Security
